Hey Everyone!

In my last blog post I talked about gift ideas for other people, now I want to talk about gift ideas for you and me!  Every year I get friends and family asking me what I want for Christmas and I always get a little bit stuck with my reply.  Don't ask me what I want and I could ask you for a million things but put me on the spot...and I'm blank.  This is why I normally write a list every year.

When I heard about the #NextmasWishlist competition I thought it would be a great idea to write a post about it, plus it gives you guys a chance to win things as well! Basically what you have to do is write a blog post with your Next Christmas Wishlist and upload it to the Next blogger noticeboard.  Then tweet +Nextofficial and use the #Nextmaswishlist in your tweet and you could win something from your list!

I thought I'd give my entry a go but don't worry theres 5 winners so you can still be in with a good chance of a Christmas gift from Next too.  I'm hoping you might get some gift idea for either yourself or someone else from this post too.  Now lets get into my list...

1. Gingerbread Jersey Sweater

Okay come on, how cute is this little guy.  I seen this festive jumper in store the other week and I just loved him! He looks so festive with his little Santa hat and candy cane.  Too cute.  I would definitely wear this Christmas Eve or Christmas Day.

Get this cutie here at Next

2. Positivity Canvas

I am such a fan of this.  It's so beautiful to look at and beautiful to read.   I think it's so true as well that one small positive though can indeed change your day.  I think this would be a lovely feature piece in any room.

Up your positive thinking here

3. Baby It's Cold Outside Pyjamas

Baby it's cold outside was one of the first songs I added to my Christmas playlist on Spotify this year.  I love these pyjamas as they are so soft, bright and cozy.  I only noticed when I looked real close that the leggings have little stars on them.  Adorable

4. Sequin Party Dress

Now I wouldn't expect to win this at all due to its high price but I couldn't not include this in my wish list.  LOOK AT THIS DRESS.  Imagine rocking up to your Christmas/New Years party in this beauty.  Emoji heart eyes.....

Get this beauty here

5. Dog Cushion

Now this last gift is not for me, but we just got a new puppy not too long ago.  His name is Marvin and he's 3 and a half months old.  He is a Shih Tzu x Jack Russell and he is quickly becoming such a massive part of our lives.  Anyway, he loves sitting in the kitchen while we are cooking so we put a regular bed pillow down for him and he just sits and watches.  I would love to get him something like this to put in the kitchen for him to rest on.  Also had to had a few pictures of Marvin...

Get one for your furry friend here

I hope you all enjoyed this post and have seen something you like.  Give the #Nextmaswishlist competition a go and you might be lucky. Good luck to everyone !

Christmas Gift Ideas

Hey Everyone!

Since Christmas is vastly approaching, we all need to be prepared.  I've been embarrassingly organised this year when it comes to gift giving and wrapping.  I must have finished shopping about four weeks ago...

For those of you who struggle when it comes to buying presents and finding the right gift, I've found a few ideas that would suit different personalities.

The Girly Girl

1. YSL Teint Touche Eclat Rose Gold Primer

I think this primer looks so lovely and luxurious.  I'm yet to try it myself but have it on my own Christmas wish list.  This is the perfect gift to buy for any girly girl as primer can be used on its own (for example, my Mum doesn't wear foundation but I know she would still use this alone), or can be used under makeup.  Its slightly pricy at £30.50 but if you're just buying this as a single gift I think its perfect.

Buy at Boots here

2. Ciaté Tree Trinkets

For a slightly smaller stocking filler these Tree Trinkets are adorable.  A little extra decoration for your tree and a little sparkle for your nails.  I'm almost 100% sure that Ciaté done these last Christmas but you can hardly blame them for bringing them out again this year as they really do make a lovely little gift retailing at £8 each.

Grab yours at ASOS here

The Gadget Guru

1. Smartphone Projector

This little projector allows you to convert your small smartphone into a large projection picture!  I think this idea is so cool and cute.  I would love to curl up on a cold night and project a movie onto the wall and feel so retro.  This is perfect for those who love novelty accessories for their gadgets and is available at £15.95.

Smartphone Projector - Available at Not On The High Street

2. Apple Juice Home Charger

This is more novelty headed for gadget lovers.  Apple Juice.  Get it.  An iPhone charger that gives your phone the juice it needs to run in a lovely carton.  Don't worry if your Gadget buddy doesn't have an iPhone as there are different juices available for different makes.  The only difference is the pun doesn't really make sense.  For £9.95 it's not a bad deal.

Apple Juice - Available at John Lewis

The Book Lover

1. Classic Book Cover Diary

These diaries for 2015 make a lovely gift for book lovers.  With the option of ten classic covers, I'm sure you'd be able to find a favourite for your recipient.  My personal favourite is the Great Gatsby cover.  These diaries are available from £16.95.

Find these at Not On The High Street

2. Once Upon A Time Bookmark

This makes an adorable little gift for those who love to read.  I would have this myself as a decoration just to stick out of a book and appear elegantly.  This is on sale for £10 and is available in different varieties.

Also available from Not On The High Street

The Food Fanatics

1. Cottage Delight - Steak Night In

For those who love to try and experiment in the kitchen or even just love home cooked meals, these little sets are fantastic.  There is a variety of options available from curries to thai so there is something to suit all taste pallets.  I personally love the idea of the steak one as I can be quite fussy when it comes to foods so sticking to classics is a must for me.  This steak set is on sale for £16 at John Lewis.

Get your hands on it here

2. Festive Cheer Hamper

There's nothing like a classic hamper to bring the spirt of Christmas alive.  This one is particular is festive by bringing in Christmas Day classics, from the soup to the cake, Marks and Spencers got this one right.  This hamper retails for £30.

Get your hamper on

The Sporty Spice ( Or Just The Sporty)

1. Personalised Referee Whistle

If I knew my Dad wouldn't blow the roof of with this thing, I would probably get him one.  Perfect for those who shout and scream at the TV and yell "COME ON REF, ARE YOU BLIND?!".

Find this at Getting Personal

2. Mini Foosball Table

I know the majority of us would love to get a full sized one of these for the sports fan in our lives, but the reality is that they are pretty pricy.  Until you win the lottery, why not settle for this mini table top version?  Still as much fun.

Find these foosball tables at Sports Direct

Hopefully you've managed to find a gift that suits someone in your life or even just got a few ideas from this post.  Let me know in the comments what presents your buying this Christmas and what you're hoping to receive.

May Favourites

Hey Everyone!

Well it's definitely been a while since my last post, but since college is now over and I'm free from education for summer, I thought 'why not get back into blogging?', and what better way than to start with a favourites post??

During the month of May I rediscovered a few old favourites of mine, as well as started loving some new products.

My first favourite of May is the Naked palette.  I realise pretty much everyone has this already but I just received it as a gift from my boyfriend a few weeks ago.  I had wanted it since it came out but never purchased it.  Now that I've got it, I only wish I purchased it sooner.  Each colour is so pigmented and the quality of the eyeshadows is pretty perfect.  They last all day without any creasing and are also easily removed with makeup wipes (no nasty scrubbing of your eyes required).  My favourite colours in the palette are Virgin, Sin, Sidecar, Half Baked, Smog and Toasted.

My second favourite of May has been my Effaclar Duo cream by La Roche-Posay.  This was a brand I was only slightly familiar with before trying out.  After trying this, I'm wanting to try the whole range!  Every time I use this cream I notice a difference in my skin.  The cream is designed to deal with imperfections in the skin, from spots to redness.  If I use this cream everyday (like I have been) I notice a reduction in the number of spots, especially large angry ones!  I hardly get them at all when I use this cream.  I would highly recommend it to anyone who wants to improve their skin.

Another favourite of mine falls was release on the last day of May (so it just makes the cut for this post) but I fell in love with it the day I bought it.  The new Benefit tinted balms.  I purchased Posiebalm, and already have my eyes on the rest of the range.  The colour is sheer but provides a lovely light colour for the warm months.  Its also super moisturising and feels really good on the lips, so I can definitely see my wearing these in the colder months too.

I've also been wearing MaxFactor's False Lash Effect mascara a lot recently.  I bought this after trying to find a replacement for Covergirls Lash Blast Fusion.  Turns out these two are exactly the same.  I love that it's big thick brush that gives your lashes a full look without being clumpy or 'spider-leggy'.  This is my go-to mascara now!

A further favourite of mine has been Chanel's Coco Mademoiselle Velvet Body Oil.  This is such a lovely scented body oil and just smells like fresh flowers - absolutely perfect for Spring/Summer.  The oil is very moisturising and doesn't leave your skin slippy as it dries in fairly quickly.  It leaves your skin smelling gorgeous for ages.  I wouldn't quite say this is a necessity but it is lovely if you fancy spoiling yourself!

I hope you all enjoyed this favourites post, I do realise we are half way through June but I thought I would do a May favourites anyway!

Degustabox Opening

Hey Everyone!

So this month meant another Degustabox for me.  If you are unaware of what a Degustabox is, to sum it up, it is a box filled with food and drink from both new and developed brands.  A box is £12.99 including delivery which isn't a bad deal at all.  If you want to find out more about Degustabox click here to go directly to their website or here to their Twitter page.  Now let's get stuck into this months box...

Go! Kombucha

Kombucha tea is a tea filled with antioxidants, vitamins and minerals which help cleanse and revitalise the body.  I've been really into my healthy teas this month (peppermint tea, green tea and camomile) so this will be excellent to try out.

Dorset Cereals

Dorset Cereals is a brand I have spotted in supermarkets before and always have been curious about trying.  Their berry granola was included in this Degustabox and I must say it is delicious.  A perfect healthy way to start the day when topped with a little greek yoghurt.

Goody Good Stuff

Goody Good Stuff are all natural, gelatine free gummy sweets which is perfect for you veggies out there.  The range is also free from gluten, soya, dairy and nuts and yet still tastes amazing - how??

Jules Destrooper

Okay probably my favourite thing in this months box has to be the Jules Destrooper Butter Crisps.  Being a sweet tooth, these were amazing to satisfy a craving and beautiful topped with a little toffee sauce.  Amazing.

Amy's Kitchen

With all the winter bugs floating around at the moment a nice tin of tomato soup is always a bonus.  I've recently been caught out by these bugs but the soup helped me feel a bit better in no time.  I love how food can have that affect.

Quinola Mothergrain Express

I'll be honest, before today I had never heard of Quinola, and now I'm eager to try it.  Quinola is a source of vegetable protein with slow releasing proteins which is gluten free.  It sounds like a nice change from the usual pasta or rise.

If you live in the UK, you've probably seen the Maggi's so juicy adverts at some point in your life.  Maggi's create delicious meats by flavouring them.  All you have to do is pop the meat in the bag and cook in the oven.  Simples.

ZICO is a brand I had heard of before, but wasn't too familiar with.  When it comes to coconut water I'm very loyal to Vita Coco.  ZICO's coconut water surprised me a little as it was chocolate flavour.  I'll be honest I wasn't keen.  But then again I'm not keen on cold chocolate drinks.  Different tastes I suppose.

I hope you have all enjoyed this post and I will speak to you all shortly.

Pretty Little Liars Tag

Hey Everyone!

PLL (Pretty Little Liars) is one of my favourite TV shows of all time.  If you have never seen it, where have you been?  A few other lovely bloggers and myself decided to create a PLL tag because we love it so much and even have a cute little Whatsapp chat about it.  Ps go and check out these lovely ladies, KirstieEstelleGemmaRebecca and Tanyia.  We each came up with one question related to the show so lets take a look at them!

1) My Question: Alison made her return to rosewood in her statement red coat. What is your wardrobe statement piece?
I would probably have to go with my leather jacket.  I wear it pretty much everyday and I love the way it ties a whole outfit together.  I purchased it from Tesco a few moths ago and bagged myself a great bargain as it was only £32.  I love it!

2) Kirstie: If you could raid anyone's wardrobe who's would it be?
Oh this is a hard one.  I love all of their styles but I would probably have to go with Hanna.  Hanna always looks so fashionable and I often see pieces on her that I want.

3) Rebecca: Which cast member would you go to if you had a problem?
Emily.  She is probably the most loyal of the group and is always kind and willing to help out the others.

4) Estelle: Which character's personality do you think you most relate to?
I think they are all such relatable characters but if I had to pick one it would probably be Hanna.  Hanna is sure of her own opinion and knows exactly what she thinks and doesn't let anyone change that.  She also can stress out and snap at people which I'm not going to lie, I would probably be like if I was put into her situation.  But she also cares so much for her friends, family, and still Caleb...(don't cry, don't cry).

5) Gemma: Which of the character's makeup would you most like to wear?
Probably Emily's.  She always looks so naturally beautiful.  Nothing over the top or excessive.  Just enough to enhance her natural features which looks beautiful.

6) Tanyia: Which of the cast would you feel safest with when stuck in an A situation?
Most likely Spencer.  She always seems to be spot on about A and what he/she is doing.  She's very smart so would easily deviate a solution to any problem.

If you are a Pretty Little Liars fan like us, try this tag for yourself and let us know in the comments or on twitter your opinions.  I hope you all enjoyed this tag and I will speak to you all soon.

Busy Bee

Hey Everyone!

In one sense I want to start today's post for apologising for not blogging in ages.

But in the other sense, I don't.  Yes I would love to blog a little bit more than what I have been but my life has just been super busy but I'm not going to apologise for that.  I'm having an ace time.  I think far too many bloggers are too hard on themselves for not blogging all the time when its perfectly okay to go and live your life for a while.  If you can manage both then you deserve mounds of praise because it is actually very challanging.

I just thought I would give you a quick catch up of what has been going on in my life before I dive straight back into regular posts.

Access All ASOS

I was accepted to Access All ASOS about a month ago now and I'm loving it.  Insider gossip and news about one of my favourite stores?!  As well as meeting (online for now) so many new bloggers. I received a lovely little welcome package with a lipstick and midi rings - am I that predictable?

College has been crazy recently.  I've had 5 assessments in the past 2 days.  What.  Nope.  Can't deal.

Work's work, what else can I say really?  Busy as per usual.

I started off this post with way more exciting things happening in my life and way better excuses for not blogging.  But actually, after college and work, I'm just exhausted.  Never mind.  I'm feeling motivated to be a better blogger.

Revlon PhotoReady Concealer Review

Hey Everyone!

Up until now I have only ever used one concealer, Maybelline's CoverStick and it has always served me well.  It does it's job.  I was running dangerously low on it and went shopping to grab a new one.  In every shop I went into, they were out of stock, and I couldn't not use concealer in my makeup routine so I was forced to try something new.  As I was shopping, I couldn't find a concealer that was even remotely close to my freakishly pale skin until I came across Revlon's PhotoReady concealer.  I'll be honest, I bought this concealer on a whim as a last resort but I'm so glad I did it.

This concealer is so lightweight and still provides great coverage.  That is a match I must admit I never thought was possible in a concealer.  Usually the ones that provide great coverage are super thick and heavy on the skin (like Maybelline's CoverStick).  Once blended, this concealer provides an amazing natural finish with a slight "glow" to it.  If you have particularly oily skin this might not be a great match for you but combined with a oil-busting powder I think you would be perfectly fine.

The concealer reflects light and looks simply beautiful on the skin.  It is such a versatile product suitable for under eye corrections as well fighting breakouts and redness.

Over all I'm really happy with this product and I think this has become a new favourite of mine (sorry Maybelline).  Let me know in the comments if you have ever tried this concealer, or what your all time favourite concealer is!

The Fragrance Shop Discovery Club: 5th Edition.

Hey Everyone!

Today I'm back with another opening of The Fragrance Shop's Discovery Club Box.  If you missed my post on the 4th edition box, you can catch it here.  Today's box is the 5th edition special which contains 9 perfume samples and a book of £5 vouchers for each perfume at the Fragrance Shop.  The box, as it was last time, is a non contracted purchase and only costs £5.  The boxes are released quarterly and you aren't tied down with any subscriptions.  Although if you wanted, there is an option to join a years membership for £25, and part of the £25 is donated to the Ray's of Sunshine Children's Charity, so not only will you smell good, you can feel good too. You can read all about the Discovery Club here

The first perfume I picked up in the box was Jean Paul Gaultier's Classique.  One thing I must add about the full size JPG perfumes is - how gorgeous are the bottles?!  This particular perfume is very sweet rose and super springy in my opinion.  It also has quite a strong vanilla base.

Next in the box was Nina by Nina Ricci which is a perfume I always see advertised on T.V but have never actually smelt.  This one surprised me as it was a lot more citrusy than I thought with strong scents of lemon and lime.  But then it sweetens out to a slight apple-y scent and vanilla.  I really liked this one.

I also spied a favourite of mine, and a lot of people's I believe.  Gucci Guilty is the 'sexiest' woman's fragrance in the box in my opinion.  Although floral, it's a deep scent with rich amber scents and bursts of citrus.

Angel by Thierry Mugler is also featured in this box.  Angel is a floral scent with strong jasmine and vanilla scents.  It also has a hint of berry which is fairly similar to Philosophy's Falling In Love perfume.

Alien by Thierry Mugler also appeared in this edition.  With the name 'Alien' I never expected this perfume to be quite so romantic.  It's comforting and soft with again floral bases and jasmine hints. Again  this perfume would be perfect for spring and summer.  This is my favourite out of the two Thierry Mugler perfumes.

The last woman's fragrance included in the box is Givenchy's Very Irresistible. This perfume reminds me a lot of blossoms but yet still remains fresh and bright.

Moving onto mens fragrance, Boss Bottled by Hugo Boss was the first one I noticed.  I love the woman's version of this so I was really intrigued to see if I loved this one just as much and surprisingly (or unsurprisingly) I do.  It's a very warm fruited scent with cinnamon under notes.

There was also Hugo Man by Hugo boss included.  This one is a little more citrusy with a strong orange and grapefruit scent.

Finally, there was L'Eau D'Issey Pour Homme by Issey Miyake (what a mouthful).  This perfume has a strong sandalwood scent and is very warm.

I hope you all liked this post and I will speak to you all soon!

Life Saver, Lip Saver.

Hey Everyone!

I know I have taken a bit of a break from blogging for the past few weeks but...I'M BACK.  Things have been so crazy busy recently and then it was the festive period so it was madness.  Anyway, lets get going into the actual post!

Today I thought I would do a product review on a little live saver of mine, Jason's Lips Bee Healthier.  Does the extra e in bee give anything away?  Yes this product is made with Beeswax and contains 70% organic ingredients, so you have less nasty chemicals sitting on your lips.

Up in the North of Scotland, it has been fairly cold (when I say fairly, I mean really cold) and for me, cold = chapped lips.

This lipbalm is so moisturising and feels so smooth on the lips it's lovely.  It's not sticky, not clumpy and leaves your lips looking healthy and moisturised.  It also tastes slightly minty and has a refreshing tingle sensation on the lips.

The product is fairly cheap online, but I'm afraid I have no idea where you can buy it in store, sorry.

So overall, I really really like this lipbalm.  In terms of moisturising, it beats Baby Lips by a mile.  Its product that actually does what its supposed to.  Simple.

I hope you all enjoyed todays post and I will be back with another post at the weekend!
